Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a doctor’s note to see a physiotherapist?
- Physiotherapists are primary care practitioners meaning that you do not need any type of referral to see a physiotherapist. Just call or book online and we will do the rest!
Will my insurance cover physiotherapy?
In most cases if you have extended health benefits through your workplace, physiotherapy will likely be covered.
How long will it take for me to start feeling better?
There are many factors to consider when looking at recovery. How severe is the injury? How long has it been since the initial injury? Is work or your everyday life aggravating the condition? Our therapists will take all of these factors into consideration when creating your personalized plan of care and try determine how long your recovery might take.
Will physiotherapy hurt?
It is never the goal of the therapist to hurt the patient, though at times they may need to provoke symptoms in order to determine the root cause of the pain and to get you on the path to recovery. Over time, these symptoms will generally become less aggravated and sessions can focus on restoring your function.
Can you direct bill my insurance company?
Our clinic is set up to direct bill most extended health providers, though ultimately that depends on the insurance plan itself.
