As the Christmas season approaches, South Simcoe Physiotherapy will once again be fund raising for local organizations. This year the chosen organizations are Matthews House Hospice as well as the local Good Shepherd Food Bank. We have chosen to support these organizations this year as both are crucial to our community and have touched us in different ways over the years.
Matthews House holds a special place in our heart this year as they supported a past client of ours as she lived out her final days. Over the past several years of practice we have also had the opportunity to meet some of the many people who volunteer their time helping to make the last days of others special. We are hopeful that our fundraising efforts will help these people in some small way and help Matthews House continue their fine work.
At our previous location, we shared a parking lot with the Good Shepherd Food Bank and realized very quickly that there are many people in our local community that require this service. Many of us take basics such as food for granted, while others struggle for the necessities of life. The food bank is an essential service in our community and requires our continued support. Thank you to all of those that volunteer their time and support the local food bank.
We will be accepting cash donations that will be given to Matthews House Hospice and non-perishable food items for the Food Bank. As a clinic we will also be giving our own donation to both of these establishments.
Enjoy the holiday season!
